The health and safety of all our guests and staff are a top priority at Camp Oakhurst. Our leadership and staff, which includes several healthcare professionals, are staying up to date concerning the coronavirus. Currently, there are no cases among any of our staff, guests, or in the local communities near camp. In addition to our ongoing commitment to employ best practices across all departments that minimize risk of contracting and/or spreading any illness at camp, rooms and restrooms are meticulously disinfected upon guest checkout, and we are now disinfecting occupied rooms and restrooms daily. Our staff are trained to thoroughly disinfect all camp facilities where guests sleep, congregate, and recreate.
In response to cases of coronavirus in California, our extra efforts to help staff and guests stay healthy at camp also include: self-screening prior to coming to camp, increased communication regarding the importance and proper techniques of hand washing, supplemental hand sanitizing stations and products, etc.
Should there be an outbreak at or near Camp Oakhurst we have a thorough Emergency Action Plan that includes contacting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and taking appropriate actions based on the recommendations of state and local health agencies.
Rest assured that Camp Oakhurst staff are closely monitoring the situation, and are making every effort to ensure this is another year of great memories and experiences for all our guests.
