About Us
Nestled in the Southern Sierra’s, we are about 20 miles south of the entrance to Yosemite National Park. We have easy access off of Hwy 41, just 45 minuets Northeast of Fresno and only ten minutes from scenic Oakhurst, California.
We are a year-round host camp, which means that we provide the place, service, food and some awesome Adventure Activities, and you bring your own program. We can accommodate up to 300 people in the summer, 180 other times.
We serve many types of groups such as; Christian organizations including their youth groups, women’s groups, men’s groups, family groups and leadership groups. Our facility is also available to non-profit civic groups, schools, service organizations and special needs groups.
We do require that all groups respect our beliefs as outlined in our Statement of Faith, and abide by the rules set forth in the governing guidelines of our contracts.
Camp Oakhurst came into existence in the early nineteen eighties with a donation of 160 acres by the Barcus family. At that time it was owned and managed by the Central California Church of God Association. Since January of 1999, the camp is an independent organization run by a non-denominational Board of Directors. Our camp strives to provide a Christian atmosphere and service to groups wishing to pursue spiritual growth in a beautiful mountain setting.
